Introduction of cloud technologies is strategic step for Armenia's digital security

YEREVAN, November 27. /ARKA/. The introduction of cloud technologies in Armenia is a strategic step for ensuring digital security, stated Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia.

"The introduction of such technologies into Armenia's public administration system is not only an indicator of technological progress, but also a strategic step for ensuring digital security and accelerated digitalization," Mantashyan noted, speaking at the Armenian Cloud Summit in Yerevan.

According to him, it is necessary to learn to adapt to today's reality, in some cases, to architecturalize this reality, and to build secure, scalable, and flexible infrastructures that will serve the citizens of Armenia, enhance the country's national competitiveness, and stimulate private investment.

The Armenian Cloud Summit's focus was on Armenia's digital ambitions, its experience using global cloud solutions, the specifics of acquiring cloud services, the interconnection of cloud infrastructures and AI-based solutions, the development of sovereign and secure clouds, successful international examples, and the role of cloud technologies in stimulating private investment.

The summit, which was held at the initiative of the Ministry, the Information Systems Agency of Armenia, and the World Bank, also presented a roadmap for the digital transformation of Armenia's public administration, which combines international experience and national strategic priorities.-0-
