New space research startup DeepSat created in Armenia
YEREVAN, October 17. /ARKA/. A new startup DeepSat, engaged in space technologies and focused on VLEO (very low Earth orbit) technologies, has been developed in Armenia.
“During a visit to the Bazumk space research laboratory, startup co-founders David Baghdasaryan, Nerses Ohanyan and Hayk Martirosyan presented DeepSat’s activities, vision and solutions to the Minister of High Technology Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan,” the press service of the Ministry of High Technology Industry reported, the importance of VLEO in Armenia’s space strategy was also noted.
The Minister got acquainted with the satellite communication overhead station, the flight control room, and the small satellite development laboratory.
The first mission of the Hayasat-1 laboratory was also touched upon. The importance of remote sensing of the Earth using satellites for Armenia was on the discussion agenda. -0-
