Microchip Technology’s Executives to Visit Armenia for the First Time, Marking a New Investment Phase and the Opening of a New Office

YEREVAN, February 26. /ARKA/. Microchip Technology’s senior executives will visit Armenia from March 1 to March 4, reaffirming the company’s commitment to investing and expanding its presence in the country.

The official opening ceremony of Microchip’s new office is slated for on March 3, at 12:00 PM, at 4 Adonts Street.

This milestone event will bring together key figures from the technology sector, including Shakeel Peera (Vice President of Marketing, Strategy, and Customer Applications for the FPGA Business Unit) and Rajeev Jayaraman (Senior Director of Software and Solutions Development for the FPGA Business Unit), who will be visiting Armenia for the first time.

The event will also feature leading representatives from the Armenian tech ecosystem, including the co-founders of Instigate, who played a crucial role in the formation of the Armenian team in 2020, leading to its acquisition by Microchip in May 2023. 

The Minister of High-Tech Industry of RA, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, will also attend the event.

Microchip now operates in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, and Ijevan, focusing on hardware and software development, applied engineering, and customer support within its FPGA Business Unit. The company also collaborates closely with RealSchool, providing young talents (16+) with hands-on experience and a direct pathway to employment in the global tech industry.

On March 2, Microchip executives will visit InnoIjevan to explore Armenia’s engineering talent and innovation ecosystem. On March 3, following the official office opening at 12:00 PM, they will attend a reception with Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, and UATE board members, discussing future collaborations and investment opportunities.

The Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE) is coordinating the key events of the visit, ensuring engagement between industry leaders, policymakers, and local innovators.-0-
