Digitalization in the region and modernization of the public sector in Armenia were discussed with the World Bank in Yerevan

First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Gevorg Mantashyan discussed issues related to the Fourth Public Sector Modernization Program (PSMP4) and ensuring digitalization opportunities in the South Caucasus with a delegation led by World Bank task force leaders Arman Vatyan and Khuram Farooq.
YEREVAN, September 11. /ARКА/. First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Gevorg Mantashyan discussed issues related to the Fourth Public Sector Modernization Program (PSMP4) and ensuring digitalization opportunities in the South Caucasus with a delegation led by World Bank task force leaders Arman Vatyan and Khuram Farooq.
As reported by the press service of the ministry, the overall progress of the PSMP4 program since the mission conducted in April 2025, the current status of the roadmap, as well as the implementation of the activities agreed upon during the previous mission were discussed.
The issues related to the development of digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, data mapping and classification processes, the possibilities of using cloud services, as well as further steps for the effective implementation of the program were also discussed.
The First Deputy Minister highly appreciated the ongoing cooperation with the World Bank, emphasizing the importance of the program for improving the efficiency of the public sector and promoting digitalization processes. The €26.5 million loan for Armenia under the IV Public Sector Modernization Program (PSMP) was approved by the World Bank Board of Executive Directors in early March 2022. The program is designed to support the government in modernizing the public sector through three components related to public administration systems, data management, and digital service delivery.
