YEREVAN, December 10. /ARKA/. The Armenian Police are warning about the increasing activity of internet scammers on various websites. These fraudsters are offering citizens the opportunity to invest funds in exchange for promised high returns.

It is noted that these sites are actively advertised, particularly on the social network Facebook and the messaging app Telegram. The police urge citizens not to trust such claims.

"If you enter your phone number on such websites, you will quickly be contacted by a call center from either an Armenian or foreign number, where fraudsters will offer you to deposit money into a cryptocurrency or other account, promising high profits. Do not rush to invest your funds—take advantage of the consultation by calling the Ministry of Internal Affairs hotline for internet fraud at 011 52 52 52. The hotline is available from 09:00 to 18:00," the police stated.-0-
