YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. The first TUMO Center for Creative Technologies in Spain will officially open in 2026.

It will be located in Bilbao-Vizcaya and will offer 1,500 students per week the opportunity to gain a unique educational experience in the fields of technology and design, as reported on TUMO's Facebook page.

Recently in Bilbao, the heads of the Armenian TUMO Creative Technologies Center – Executive Director Marie Lou Papazian and Development Director Bekor Papazian – along with the leaders of the La Caixa Foundation and local and regional officials, officially announced the center's opening next year.

"TUMO Bilbao-Vizcaya" will be situated in a symbolic location – the former Azkuna Zentroa wine warehouse, founded in 1909, which later became the most iconic cultural center in Bilbao.

About the TUMO Center

The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies was opened in Armenia in 2011. Today, approximately 25,000 Armenian teenagers aged 12-18 are trained for free to work in the IT field using modern technologies (programming, music, robotics, animation, 3D modeling, film production, photography, game development, graphic design, and drawing).

TUMO centers are not only located in Armenia (in Yerevan, Dilijan, Gyumri, Yeghegnadzor, Kapan, and Koghb), but also abroad – in Germany, France, Lebanon, Portugal, Switzerland, Albania, and Ukraine. Plans include expanding to Los Angeles, Amsterdam, and Tokyo.

In 2016, TUMO ranked first in the "We demain" magazine’s list of the world’s most innovative schools.
