Armenian TUMO Center Awarded $1 Million WISE Prize for Education for New AI Training Program

Armenian TUMO Center for Creative Technologies has been awarded the $1 million WISE Prize for Education for its new artificial intelligence training program.
YEREVAN, November 26. /ARKA/. Armenian TUMO Center for Creative Technologies has been awarded the $1 million WISE Prize for Education for its new artificial intelligence training program.
"Based on the idea of teaching AI with AI, our AI Colleague platform and new educational program based on the idea of teaching with AI received this prestigious award for their innovation, effectiveness, and scalability," TUMO noted in a Facebook post.
The competition received 427 applications, of which six projects made it to the finals.

The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies was opened in Armenia in 2011. Currently, approximately 25,000 Armenian teenagers aged 12-18 are receiving free training in IT using modern technologies (programming, music, robotics, animation, 3D modeling, filmmaking, photography, game development, graphic design, and drawing).
Outside Armenia, TUMO centers operate in Europe (Paris, Marseille, and Lyon in France; Berlin, Mannheim, Hirscheid, and Lüdenscheid in Germany; Combra and Lisbon in Portugal), the United States (Los Angeles), Japan (Gunma), and Argentina (Buenos Aires). Plans are underway to open centers in Astana, Montevideo, Luanda, Takasaki, Amsterdam, and Mumbai.
