Armenia studies Estonia's best practices in digitalization, cyber defense and AI
YEREVAN, April 3. /ARKA/. The Armenian delegation, led by Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, was received in Tallinn by Estonian Foreign Minister Markus Tsahkna.
The two sides discussed an extensive and diverse agenda for sectoral cooperation, which had been shaped by previous visits and discussions. They emphasized the potential for deepening and expanding bilateral relations, including continuous exchange of experience, the development of joint programs, and the creation of new opportunities for collaboration.
Key topics covered in the bilateral agenda included digitalization, cybersecurity, and the regulation of artificial intelligence. The importance of enhancing the effectiveness of close and ongoing cooperation was underscored.
Following this, the Armenian delegation took part in thematic discussions at the Estonian Foreign Ministry's office. The delegation was introduced to Estonia's advanced digital solutions, including the automation of tax filing and customs clearance, AI-driven social security and labor compliance platforms, mechanisms for distributing benefits and preventing fraud, as well as e-court and case management systems.
The delegation, led by Hayrapetyan, is in Estonia at the invitation of the digital transformation consulting firm Proud Engineers. The purpose of the visit is to explore Estonia's advanced practices in digital governance, cybersecurity, and the digitalization of public services, and to engage in productive discussions aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Estonia.
