Armenian High-Tech Industry Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan discussed the prospects for expanding Supermicro's operations in Armenia yesterday with Nancy Lee, Vice President of Business Development at the American company.
YEREVAN, December 16. /ARKA/. Armenian High-Tech Industry Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan discussed the prospects for expanding Supermicro's operations in Armenia yesterday with Nancy Lee, Vice President of Business Development at the American company.
At the meeting held yesterday, the parties also discussed ways to implement investment programs in Armenia's technological environment, opportunities for cooperation in the implementation and application of AI, and the Armenian government's initiatives in this area, the ministry's press service reported.
Hayrapetyan presented the ministry's main areas of activity and programs implemented in the industry, emphasizing Armenia's interest in attracting high-tech companies and implementing investment projects.
The minister also presented a recently adopted legislative package providing for seven years of state support to stimulate the creation of new jobs, investment in education, and programs promoting research and development (R&D).
Supermicro's delegation, in turn, presented the company's core business and investment policy, sharing their experience in using artificial intelligence-based technologies and potential collaboration in this area. They praised Armenia's potential to become a regional technology hub.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing the dialogue and noted their mutual interest in discussing potential areas of cooperation.
