YEREVAN, November 20. /ARKA/. The 21st annual ceremony for educational awards in the information technology sector was held yesterday at the residence of the President of Armenia.

This year, 27 students and 9 schoolchildren (from a total of 126 applicants) were recognized as laureates, as reported by the press service of the Armenian government. The awards were conferred by  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

In his address, he highlighted the significance of education for the generation confronting various life challenges. He remarked that education is a strategic priority for the government, as it is the sole means to diminish ignorance and enhance knowledge.

According to the Prime Minister, education is the only pathway to make challenges—essentially, life—more manageable at individual, group, societal, and national levels.

The annual Armenian IT Educational Award was founded in 2005 through an initiative by Synopsys Armenia in collaboration with the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. This project, carried out under the slogan "Discover the Best, Inspire the Next," represents a successful partnership among the government, business sector, and educational institutions.

To date, a total of 707 young individuals have been honored with this award, comprising 495 students and 212 schoolchildren.-0-
